Baramulla, July 31(GNS): SDRF Baramulla, along with Civil Defence Uri, launched a search operation in River Jhelum at Dulanja, Uri of Baramulla on Friday to trace a missing woman.
The missing woman has been identified as Rashida Bano, 25, D/o Jammat Ali, R/o Nowpora, Uri.
Officials told GNS that the woman is reportedly mentally unsound and is suspected to have drowned in the river.
A joint team of SDRF and Civil Defence was pressed into service at Dulanja to trace out her body.
The search operation is ongoing. Further details are awaited.(GNS)
