Pulwama, April 16 (GNS): Two COVID-19 Positive patients who were undergoing treatment at District Hospital Pulwama were discharged after they tested negative twice.
The patients were having the travel history from Nizamudin Hotspot and self-reported before Surveillance Teams few weeks ago.
The District Hospital Pulwama has been identified and dedicated for the treatment of COVID-19 patients for Pulwama and Shopain.
District Magistrate, Dr. Raghav Langer who was present while discharging the patients expressing satisfaction said that authorities have put in place a robust and scientific action plan for containing the COVID-19 infection in the district. He added that it is premature to shift our focus from the the tracing of the contacts including other necessary measures in place for abating the pandemic.
He hailed the medical fraternity associated with the management of the COVID-19 patients and them to have a proper follow up and adopt quarantine precautions of the patients being discharged.
The patients while leaving for their homes praised and thanked the doctors and nurses for taking care of them.
Meanwhile, senior officers from the District Administration said that the two patients discharged belonged to District Shopain. (GNS)
