Srinagar/Jammu, Feb 15: At least five persons were killed while a minor girl had a miraculous after a vehicle they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge in Doda district on Monday.
Official sources said that an Eco vehicle (JK2021-TR0335A) on way from Doda to Batote fell into deep gorge at Rangi Nallah in Batote Doda on Monday evening. While five bodies were found soon after the rescue operation was launched, 3-year-old girl Ananya daughter of Ajit Singh was rescued safely. “She has suffered minor injuries and has been admitted to the hospital,” Dr. Sagar D. Doifode, Deputy Commissioner Doda told GNS.
Those killed in the accident include Rakesh Kumar, his wife Mamta Devi , their daughter Samrita Devi of Ganika Babli Devi wife of Roshan Kumar of Ganika Doda, Chander Rekha wife of Ajit Kumar of Nagri Doda, the officials said.
Earlier as soon as the accident took place, a massive operation was launched by locals, members of administration and police. (GNS)
