Srinagar, Dec 19: (GNS)Commissioner Secretary Youth Services and Sports and Tourism Department Sarmad Hafeez on Saturday paid a surprise visit to Indoor stadium Pologround here at Srinagar.
The official on the occasion interacted with the players and watched a contest being played for Volleyball Premier League. The players reciprocated graciously to the visiting official.
Hafeez on the occasion also inspected the regular coaching classes being conducted by Sports council for Judo and Taekwondo in the Indoor Hall.
The atheletes of both the martial arts thanked the visiting official for his support even as extending their gratitude to J&K Sports council for patronage.
Commissioner Secretary lauded the facilities put in place for the players and also advised officials and coaches to strictly adhere to the SOPs and time to time advisories by the Health Department.
Later in the day, Hafeez also inspected the ongoing works for the laying of artificial turfs for Hockey and Rugby fields at the venue.(GNS)
