Srinagar, May 19: Ahead of the opening of historic Mughal road, Lieutenant Governor Administration has Wednesday announced extension of relaxations’ to patients referred from Poonch and Rajouri districts to Srinagar hospitals.
In a tweet Lieutenant Governor wrote: “Keeping in view COVID pandemic & need for patients to get best possible treatment, Mughal road be also opened from tomorrow for those referred for medical treatment to Srinagar from Poonch & Rajouri districts.”
“The DCs & DivComs will put a system in place to enable this to happen”, the tweet reads.
Pertinent to mention here that the authorities had prior to the fresh directions only allowed the movement exclusively to fruit-laden trucks and movement of Gujjar-Bakerwals along the thoroughfare. (GNS)
