J&K Reports 127 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, Total 122303

Active Cases Reduces To 2241 As 278 More Patients Were Discharged

Srinagar, Jan 8 (GNS): Jammu and Kashmir reported 127 fresh cases of novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours in J&K, officials said on Friday.

Among the fresh cases, 85 were from Jammu division and 42 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total tally to 122303.

Officials told GNS that Srinagar reported 22 cases, Baramulla 5, Budgam 4, Kupwara 5, Pulwama 4, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 1, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 48, Udhampur 6, Rajouri 5, Doda 5, Kathua 4, Kishtwar 0, Samba 10, Poonch 3, Ramban 2 and Reasi 2.

A number of these cases were confirmed at SKIMS Soura, CD and GMC Anantnag’s diagnostic laboratories.

SKIMS Cases

The Srinagar cases include male (65) from Lal Bazar, female (56) from Alochibagh, male (24) from Illahibagh, female (25) from Soura, male (40) from Khimber, male (60) from Soura, female (60) from Noorbagh, male (56) from Umar Colony, female (32) from Gilikadal, male (23) from Purshiyar Srinagar.

The Bandipora cases include male (22) from Shadipora Bandipora.

The Baramulla cases include male (75) from Manzgam, male (31) from Uplina, male (70) from Hewan Baramulla.

The Shopian cases include male (50) from Keegam, male (32) from Main Town Shopian.

The Ganderbal cases include female (28) from Batwina Ganderbal.

The Anantnag cases include male (70) from Hernag, male (60) from Pahalgam Anantnag.

The CD cases include male (32) from HMT, male (22) from Budgam, male (20) from Sopore, male (22) from Srinagar, male (22) from Srinagar, male (45) from Srinagar, male (13) from Pahalgam.

The GMC Anantnag cases include female (23) from Naibasti.

Moreover, 278 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—158 from Jammu Division and 120 from Kashmir, the official said.

Regarding the fatalities, they said two deaths each were reported from Jammu Division and Kashmir valley.

They said out of 122303 positive cases, 2241 are active positive, 118155 have recovered and 1907 have died—709 in Jammu and 1198 in Kashmir.

Out of 4034984 test results available, they said, 3912681 samples have been tested as negative till date. (GNS)
