Poonch, May 19 : The armies of India and Pakistan on Tuesday late evening exchanged gunfire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Balakote sector of Poonch district.
Official sources told news agency GNS, that Pakistani troopers on Tuesday evening resorted small to heavy shelling on Indian Army posts along line of control at Balakote sector which was retaliated effectively.
Locals reports said that panic gripped in the area in afternoon when the heavy shelling took place from both the sides.
An army official while confirming to GNS said firing incident reported along line of control (LOC) in Balakote sector, he said no loss of life or injury was reported in the shelling.(GNS)
