Baramulla, Oct 28 (GNS): In a tragic incident, two youth died after they were buried under sand during sand extraction in Dachanpora area of Rafiabad in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Officials told GNS that the incident occurred late last night in Dachanpora Rafiabad when a mound of sand caved in during extraction, burying both of them on the spot.
Their bodies remained buried throughout the night and were recovered this morning after hectic efforts by locals and police.
The deceased have been identified as Javid Ahmad Mir (28) and Mohammad Anees Malik (29), both residents of Dachanpora.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started further investigation. (GNS)
