Ganderbal, Aug 31 (GNS): Ganderbal police on Monday seized several vehicles and sealed many business outlets functioning in contravention to the ongoing Lockdown guidelines implemented in this central Kashmir district.
A statement in this regard received by GNS reads that public is unnecessarily thronging to the markets even as not follow SOPs and advisories in vogue.
This trend, as per the statement, has led to surge in in number of COVID-19 positive cases in the District Ganderbal during recent days.
The District Adminstration, as per the statement, felt expedient to break further transmission of COVID-19 and has as such imposed complete restrictions in prevention of the Global Pandemic w.e.f August 29 to September 5, 2020.
As intimidated earlier the police, as per the statement, will initiate stringent action against those found guilty of violating the Lockdown orders.
Ganderbal Police is acting tough from day one against the brazen violators to ensure complete implementation of Section 144 CrPC, in view of continuous surge in number of positive cases due to pandemic disease of COVID-19, the statement reads.
Keeping up with this stance against the violators, as per the statement, five FIRs were registered today which include; 55 /20 u/s 188, 269 IPC Gund, 182/20 u/s 188, 269, 270 IPC PS Ganderbal, 183/20 u/s 188, 269 IPC PS Ganderbal, 184/20 u/s 188, 269, 270 IPC Ganderbal, 185/20 u/s 188, 269, 253 IPC Ganderbal.
“In order to eradicate and to prevent further spread of deadly virus, Ganderbal police once again requested people to support the adminstration by way of observing the Lockdown and not to venture out of houses unnecessarily for the sake of all and any contravention otherwise will attract strict action under law”, the statement reads further.
