Srinagar, Nov 6 (GNS): Thousands of devotees from across Kashmir Valley visited Hazratbal and other shrines on Friday following Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi (SAW).
As per reports reaching GNS, large number of the devotees including men, women and children visited the shrines throughout the day to offer prayers. The biggest attendance was witnessed at the afternoon prayers. Most roads leading to the Hazratbal shrine were decorated and markets in Hazratbal wore a festive look with vendors doing a brisk business despite covid-19 threat.
To cater to the heavy rush of devotees at the shrine, the traffic police had issued a route plan for traffic movement leading to Hazratbal shrine.
Large congregational prayers were also reported at Asarisharif Kalashpora, Jenab Sahab Soura, Lal Bazar, Pinjoora Shopian, Khiram Sirhama Anantnag, Seer Hamadan, Kaba Marg Qaimoh and Aham Sharief Bandipora in north Kashmir. (GNS)
