Srinagar, Jan 9 (GNS): Deputy Commissioner Baramulla has on Saturday directed Chief Medical Officer to seek an explanation from the doctors and medical staff for their ‘unauthorised’ absence from duties at Trauma Hospital Pattan.
A communique in this regard made by Deputy Commissioner G.N Itoo to Chief Medical Officer, a copy of which lies with GNS, reads that “As informed by SDM Pattan vide his letter dated 09-01-2021, the following Doctors and Para-medical staff have been un-authorisedly absent from the duties on 09-01-2021.”
The doctors and paramedical staff, as per the communique include; Dr. Suhail Naik (Pediatrician), Dr. Asim Rather (Radiologist), Dr. Zeeza (Dental Surgeon), Dr. Mehmooda (Dental Surgeon), Dr. Arshad Hussain (Physician), Showkat Ahmad Khanday (NRHM), Ishpal Singh (NRHM), Hafeeza (BPM), Mubashir Ahmad (STI Councillor RNTCP) and Gulzar Ahmad (RNTCP).
The DC has directed to CMO “to seek an explanation from the concerned staff as to why disciplinary action shall not be taken against them for dereliction from the official duties” within two days.
Failure to do so shall be presumed that they (absent staff) have nothing to say in their defence and as such the action warranted under law shall follow, the communique maintains. (GNS)
