Srinagar, May 31:(GNS) A paramilitary CRPF Sub-Inspector died due to cardiac arrest in Pahalgam area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag on Sunday, officials said.
They said that the SI of 134 battalion of CRPF was posted at Sallar area in Pahalgam when he suffered heart attack on duty. He was shifted to hospital but doctors who attended upon him declared him brought dead, the officials told GNS.
A police officer while confirming the death of the SI identified the deceased as Ram Bharat Ram (56).
He said that inquest proceedings under 174 CrpC have been initiated. (GNS)
