Srinagar, Apr 17 (GNS): Cracking a whip on the unnecessary movement of vehicles amid the ongoing ‘Lockdown’, authorities Friday seized two vehicles in Zainapora area of south-Kashmir’s Shopian district.
While talking to GNS, SDM Zainapora, Sayed Altaf Hussain told GNS that two vehicles were seized by the district authorities over flouting the ‘Lockdown rules’ in the district.
“We tracked the vehicles near Melhura of Zainapora, after receiving information about their movement,” the official said adding that both the vehicles were seized on the spot.”
While further divulging the details, the official said that the two vehicles with registered numbers JK-13E 6780 and JK-13E 1105 were seized during the operation.
“Both the vehicles were carrying illegal extracted material from the nearby river”, the official said.
Pertinent to mention here that a countrywide Lockdown was clamped on March 24 which was further extended to May 3, on Tuesday last. (GNS)
