Boards Constituted At 7 Venues, Exercise Part Of ACB Case Proceedings
Srinagar, July 31(GNS): The Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services, J&K has proposed holding the height measurement of 552 candidates selected in 2020 over three days from August 3 to 5, citing manpower shortage and deployment for SANJY-2026 duties.
In a letter to the Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, J&K, a copy of which lies with GNS, the department said conducting the exercise in a single day is not feasible. The measurement is part of proceedings linked to FIR No. 01/2025 registered at ACB Central, Jammu.
The department has constituted boards of senior F&ES officers to conduct the test at 7 venues — Jammu, Rajouri, Udhampur, Doda, Srinagar, Baramulla and Anantnag — covering all districts of J&K.
Officials said the staggered schedule will ensure smooth conduct without affecting ongoing emergency services and Yatra duties.
The ACB has been requested to approve the proposed dates.(GNS)
