Pulwama, Dec 16 (GNS): Driver of a cab was killed even as four other on-board persons suffered injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in hit a tree at Nikas area of this south-Kashmir district on Wednesday evening.
Reports reaching GNS said that an overspeeding Maruti Car bearing Registration number JK-03A 0721 driven by one Suhail Ahmad Dar son of Mohammed Maqbool Dar resident of Keegam area of the district met the accident purportedly after the driver lost control over the vehicle.
In the incident, the driver died on-spot and four other persons identified as Danish Akbar Reshi (15) son of Mohammed Akbar, Ubaid Maqbool (24) son of Mohammed Maqbool, Mohammed Saboor Dar (15) son of Manzoor Ahmad Dar and Danish Ahmad Dar (14) son of Ghulam Hassan Dar, sustained bodily injuries.
Confirming the incident a police official told GNS that they have taken cognizance of the fatal accident and further investigations set in motion in this regard. (GNS)
