Srinagar, May 24(GNS): An army man has shot himself to death using his service-rifle in Badami Bagh Cantonment on Monday evening.
Official sources told GNS that one Sepoy Navin Singh of 9 Rashtriya Rifles posted at Kulgam died instantly after shooting himself with his service rifle inside the cantonment. However the reason for him taking the extreme step could not be immediately known, they said.
A police official confirming the incident told GNS said that an case into the incident is underway. (GNS)
