Srinagar, May 19 (GNS) :The Anantnag Forest Division on Tuesday started carried out eviction and demolished of many illegal structures besides seized a band saw mill.
An official told GNS that the eviction drive was launched by the DFO Anantnag Forest division Feroz Ahmed Chaker in association with Range officer Kuthar, Harnag, Qazigund and FCR Anantnag along with other field functionaries in compartment 85/K, 99/K where some structures were demolished while as a Band Saw Mill was also seized at village Boozgam.
“All field functionaries have been directed to stretch every nerve and protect National wealth from timber smugglers and land grabbers,” the DFO said. In his message he asked all land, grabbers and timber smugglers to refrain from such activities. “Otherwise offenders shall be dealt with strong hands,” he added as per GNS.(GNS)
