3rd day camping, DC Pulwama ensures restoration of major lifelines, essential services in Abhama – Sangerwani

People hailed the unprecedented display of Public services by DC

PULWAMA, Jan 10 (GNS): Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, Dr. Raghav Langer along with his team of officers reached the bridge that connects to Sonbanjar, this evening. This is the third day when the Deputy Commissioner has been camping in this most difficult area to ensure route opening at the earliest.

An official spokesperson said that a snow clearing machinery was dispatched to Pakherpora which shall begin operation by tomorrow morning to open Pakherpora-Khaigam-Sonbanjar axis connecting the area with District Budgam.

The route ahead of Sangerwani to Inderwali has also been cleared of snow therefore opening the approach road to PHC Sangerwani.

He said that Xen PDD/PHE/R&B & Tehsildar Rajpora accompanying the Deputy Commissioner resolved grievances of the people enroute pertaining to their respective departments.

Deputy Commissioner reached Qasba Yar on the third day of the joint team operation, after restoring major lifelines & essential services in the various areas of Pulwama.

It is pertinent to mention here that Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer along with the team had spend the intervening nights of 7-9 January among locals in Achzoga, Pulwama.

It is important to mention that the team has already accomplished the task of opening Abhama – Sangerwani road which otherwise takes weeks for restoration.

Meanwhile, during the camping of DC Pulwama at various places , people thronged in huge numbers to get their issues and grievances redressed.

The people hailed the unprecedented efforts of district administration to restore essential services and clearing roads of snow. Civil society Pulwama also expressed their satisfaction over measures taken by the administration.

Xen R&B, M. Y Tramboo, Xen, PDD, Nazir Ahmad Malik, Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti, Fareed Ahmad Reshi, Tehsildar Rajpora , Mohammad Raqib, AEE Jal Shakti, Ishfaq Ahmad, AEE , Mechanical Fayaaz Ahmad amongst others accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.(GNS)
