Baramulla, November 02 (GNS): A 23-year-old person died after slipping into a deep gorge while carrying grass in Boniyar area of Uri in north-Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources told GNS that one Qamar Din (23) son of Shukur Din Jinder of Maidanan Boniyar had went to the upper area of nearby forests to collect grass for cattle. In the course of the activity, as per the official, Qamar is believed to have a slip down the forest area into a deep gorge below, resulting in his instant death.
Soon after the news spread, locals rushed to the spot to retrieve the body, reports said.
Meanwhile a pall of gloom descended the village as the body reached his ancestral home, reports added. (GNS)
