Srinagar, Mar 15: (GNS) Terming Wasim Rizvi an enemy of Islam and of the humanity as a whole, Dar-ul-Uloom Raheemiya based scholar, Mufti Ishaq Nazki has derided the plea filed by the former seeking to read down certain verses from the Islamic scripture – Quran.
While talking to Global News Service (GNS), Mufti Mohammad Ishaq Nazki, a renowned tutor of Hadith and Fiqh at Dar-ul-Uloom Raheemiya said that the Holy Quran is the last book for the humanity, revealed by Allah on Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him) through his angel Jibraeel (AS) and Allah himself has taken responsibility to protect the book.
“The book vouches for universal brotherhood, mutual sympathy and teaches us to live in peace and tranquility with each other”, the scholar said adding that “However it pains one to see someone moving a plea before the highest body of law – Supreme Court – for some petty ulterior motives.”
The scholar has asked the authorities to initiate a stringent action against such person(s) for vitiating peace and tranquility in the country.
“We appeal the Government of India to strictly punish the culprit as to set a precedent for the other people vying to disturb the communal harmony”, the Scholar added. (GNS)
