Kupwara, Apr 28: (GNS) In line with its ongoing Covid containment measures, District Magistrate Kupwara Imam-ud-Din Wednesday declared village Seemari in Teetwal of Karnah as red-zone with immediate effect.
The inward and outward movement in the affected village has been strictly restrained and people asked to stay indoors, an official said adding that all the adjacent villages (to the notified village) have been declared as buffer zones.
Tehsildar Karnah has been appointed as administrator for red and buffer zones to oversee implementation of the restrictions, the official said.
Among a host of other measures, the officers of the line departments have been asked to ensure the availability of basic facilities besides door-to-door screening of households in these notified zones for next four days, the official added. (GNS)
