Handwara, Jun 2: (GNS) Two persons were critically injured after a tractor they were on, turned turtle in Langate in Handwara on Wednesday evening.
Reports reaching GNS said that the tractor bearing registration number JK-09 3928 turned near DFO office in Langate area resulting in critical injuries to two persons.
The injured duo has been identified as Adil Ahmad Mir (24) son of Abdul Hamid Mir, a resident of main Langate and Shakir Ahmad Lone son of Mohammad Rafiq Lone a resident of Udipora Langate.
It is believed that the duo was on way to their home while the driver – Adil Ahmad Mir – purportedly lost control over the four-wheeler near home town Langate, leading to the mishap.
Both the injured were immediately evacuated to District Hospital by Army’s 30 Rashtriya Rifles.
However the condition of both the injured persons continues to be critical when reports last came in.
Meanwhile no police official could be immediately made available for comments regarding the incident. (GNS)
