Srinagar, Dec 2 (GNS): An 18-year-old youth died after falling off a moving vehicle top in Larnoo village of south-Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday evening.
Reports reaching GNS said that the youth identified as Reyaz Ahmad Akhoon (18) son of Ghulam Mohammed Akhoon residence Gawran had mounted roof top of a ‘Sumo’ vehicle bearing Registration number JK-03C 0171.
In the course of time, Akhoon fell off from the moving vehicle in Gawran area of Larnoo resulting in critical injuries to him, reports said.
He was immediately evacuated to the local PHC, however doctors present there declared him as brought dead on arrival.
A police officer confirming the incident told GNS that a case has been registered in this regard at local police station and further investigations taken up.
Meanwhile a pall of gloom descended the native village soon after the body was handed over to the family for last rites. (GNS)
