Ganderbal, Sep 11 (GNS): Police on Friday booked a shopkeeper testing COVID19 positive for allegedly opening his shop and flouting the set Guidelines here in this central Kashmir district.
A police statement in this regard received here reads that “In order to make District Ganderbal COVID-19 free, Ganderbal Police is continuing its efforts to stop the spread of disease to large extent.”
In this context, as per the statement, Ganderbal Police booked a shopkeeper namely Jalal-ud-din Najar son of Mohammad Sidiq Najar, a resident of Giraj Ganderbal, who despite being COVID-l9 positive patient violated the SOPs/Guidelines issued by the District Administration.
The accused, as per the statement, opened his shop at Taj Complex Beehama Ganderbal.
“The said shopkeeper who as per the Directions/Guidelines had to home qurantine himself to prevent the spread of disease but he failed to do so”, the statement maintains.
“To this effect Ganderbal Police registerted a case FIR No. 196/2020 U/S 269, 270 IPC of P/S Ganderbal against the accused shopkeeper.”
Senior Superintendent of Police, Khalil Ahmad Poswal (JKPS) taking serious note of these violations has again urged the people of District Ganderbal to follow the SOP’s/Guidelines issued by the Administration in letter and spirit, otherwise strict action will be taken against the violators as per the law, the statement reads further.
