Kupwara, Jun 11 (GNS): A delegation of School Education Officers’ Union Kupwara Thursday visited bereaved family of Editor-in-Chief of Global News Service, Tanveer-ul-Ahad, to express condolences, here at Muqam-i-Shahwali.
Syed Mehraj-ud-Din, President of the Union termed the untimely death of Tanveer-ul-Ahad a “colossal loss to the journalistic fraternity in the Valley.”
“The untimely death has left a huge void which would be difficult to fill by any means,” Syed remarked adding “in his death district Kupwara has indeed lost a great mind with a noble character.”
“We beseech Almighty Allah to bless you (family) with patience and solace in these testing times”, Syed said.
On the occasion, Peer Hussam-ud-Din while expressing his condolences said that Tanveer-ul-Ahad was a “humble and noble soul.”
“Not only one of the finest in his field but Tanveer was equally a humble and noble soul who would always remain at forefront to help out the people in need”, Din remarked.
The condolence meet ended with prayers for the deceased soul.
The delegation alongside President School Education Officers’ Kupwara and Peer Hussam-ud-Din Retired Headmaster included Khazir Mohammad Mir, Govt Boys High School Sarkulli Khumriyal, Mohammad Sultan Khattana ZEPO Sogam, Nazir Ahmad Lone Headmaster Government High School Pohrupeth, Peer Bashir Ahmad Retired Headmaster and Haji Habibullah.
Pertinent to mention here that Tanveer-ul-Ahad, Editor-in-Chief and Owner and Publisher of daily newspaper Kashmir Glory breathed his last at SMHS Srinagar after a brief illness on May 11. (GNS)
