Srinagar, Oct 2: Registrar of Companies (RoC) on Friday commemorated ‘Gandhi Jayanti’ in Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh at its respective offices in Jammu and Srinagar.
On the occasion, as per an official, Gandhian ideals were discussed. Special emphasis was laid on cleanliness, keeping in view the context of preventive and promotive health and hygiene to contain the spread of COVID19 19, the official said.
Officiating Registrar of Companies Haamid Bukhari, on the ocassion, highlighted the importance of Gandhian morality and ethics, maintaining that, the with regard to Corporate Affairs, Corporate Social Responsibility is the cardinal value to Gandhian philosophy only. “Gandhi Ji believed in the moral principle of “Private Property but Common Use”, Bukhari remarked adding “Propertied class have a moral consciousness of assuming that they are trustees of the property they possess and beyond their individual use, they need to spare some part of their wealth for Common Use as well, which is the basic philosophy behind CSR.”
It is pertinent to mention that Ministry of Corporate Affairs implements CSR Under Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013.
On the occasion, RoC Official Raj Kumar Koul deliberated a special message on Swachhta.
Koul laid an emphasis “to imbibe the principles as a long lasting habit for every aspect of life starting from Swachhta of thought to Swachhta of workplaces and homes.”
