Budgam, Sep 08 : The dilapidated condition of inner link road in Qalamabad mawer has left the commuters anguished, who are up in the arms against the Roads and Building (R&B) department for failing to macadamize the road stretch.
According to the news agency—GNS the residents especially shopkeepers of the area said that the road stretch opposite steel bridge Qalamabad is in dilapidated conditions and full of potholes as the stretch has not been repaired from the last several years.
We took to the streets a number of times to press for our demands but all in vain as the concerned department failed to take any step in this regard,” the locals said, adding that they also approached the concerned authorities several times in the past but, no steps were taken to fulfil their demands.
The locals later appealed the concerned authorities to take steps to macadamize the road at an earliest so that they could heave a sigh of relief.(GNS)
