Srinagar, Mar 4 (GNS): The Jammu- Srinagar highway, the only surface link connecting Kashmir with teh outside world, shall remain shut on Friday owing to weekly maintenance and repair work on the road, authorities said on Thursday.
In a communiqué, Traffic Police said that no traffic shall be allowed from either direction on the thoroughfare between Nashree and Jawahar Tunnel in view of the weekly maintenance and repairing on the road.
Pertinently, the Mughal Road and Srinagar-Sonmarg-Gumri road continue to remain closed due to snow accumulation and adverse road condition. (GNS)
