Srinagar, April 11 (GNS): A militant associate has been arrested by police in RS Pura area of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.
A police spokesman said in a statement that following inputs, the police team apprehended the militant at Chakroi in RS Pura.
He identified the arrested man as Muzaffar Beigh son of Asadullah Beigh, a resident of Vodhpora Handwara.
“Some cash and 5 sim cards besides Incriminating material were recovered from his possession. Beigh was in touch with handlers in Pakistan,” the spokesman said.
In this connection, a case under FIR number 63/2020 US 13, 17, 39 UAPA and 121-A IPC was registered at PS RS Pura and investigation taken up, he said.
During questioning, important disclosures relating to links with militants have been established. Some more arrests are expected in the case, the spokesman added. (GNS)
