Srinagar, Oct 27 (GNS): A militant associate was apprehended in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday, officials said.
“Police alongwith Army 22 RR and CRPF 92 battalion nabbed the terrorist associate and arms ammunition alongwith other incriminating material was recovered from him,” a police official told GNS.
The militant associate, the official said, was apprehended during Naka checking near Unisoo area.
He has been identified as Ishfaq Majeed Dar son of Abdul Majeed Dar from Latti Shart Sopore.
The official said that a pistol alongwith live ammunition were recovered from his possession.
A case FIR No 198/24 U/S 13, 23 ULAP, 7/25 IA Act stands registered and investigation taken up, the official added. (GNS)
