Srinagar, Mar 11 (GNS): A gunfight has started between militants and joint team of police and army in ChewaKalan area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.
Official sources GNS said that the joint team launched a cordon and search operation in ChewaKalan amid inputs about the presence of the militants.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering off the gunfight, they said.
A senior police officer told GNS that the firing was going on. As per the sources two militants believed to be trapped. (GNS)
