Srinagar, Mar 04 (GNS): Injured during a scuffle on Tuesday, the Deputy Sarpanch Halqa Nesbal, Bandipora along with a Panch lady on Friday appeared here at Press Enclave Srinagar and demanded strict action against incumbent Sarpanch of Nesbal village of Bandipora.

Deputy Sarpanch Ghulam Mustafa was accompanied by lady Panch Saleema Begum.

While unfolding the sequence of events that led to a tussle few days back, Mustafa as per GNS said that he along with Panchs and senior citizens of the area went to attend the Gram Sabha meeting and sought details of 7 missing solar lights from each ward from Sarpanch Mehrajuddin Rather – which according to him have been sanctioned but misplaced by Sarpanch.

Infuriated by this, Mustafa said that the Sarpanch went berserk by throwing chair and injuring many of them.

He alleged that the said Sarpanch is ‘habitual of misbehavior’ and claimed that a few days back he also misbehaved with Exen PDD, BDO and others, adding that many FIRs already are registered against him for his misbehavior.

The duo urged Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, SSP Bandipora to personally intervene into the matter and demanded strict action against the Sarpanch saying if the action is not taken they will resign from their respective posts. (GNS)
