Students Attending Online Classes Take Hit

Pulwama, May 24: (GNS) Thousands of subscribers of private cellular companies Airtel and Jio have complained about erratic voice and internet services in Arigam Ullar village in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Aggrieved subscribers told news agency GNS they have been facing immense problems due to frequent disruptions in voice and internet services for a considerable time now. “We have to frequently change locations to make calls not to talk of accessing internet services”, they said adding that “Each time we make a call, it reverts false bells and similar other responses.”
With particular to the internet services, they said that the students in the area supposed to attend online classes amid ongoing Corona crisis are worst hit as they can’t make themselves available for the classes. “The internet signal breaks every now and then”, they added.
“We approached the authorities on several occasions, however nothing significant has been done to mitigate our sufferings”, they said.
Urging the telecom operators to take their genuine concerns into consideration, the subscribers further said that they hope that they (telecom operators) will take immediate steps to address the lingering problem. (GNS)
