Kupwara, Sep 28 (GNS): Major portion of a tile factory alongside its machinery was damaged in a fire incident that broke out on Monday evening at Sogam area of Lolab in the district.
Reports reaching GNS said that fire broke out at a tile factory running under the name ‘Dar Concrete’ in Sogam area this evening.
The fire, as per the reports, purported to have broke out after gas leakage, spread within no time spread and took a major part of the building into its lap.
However on time arrival of fire tenders on the scene prevented the fire from spreading to other buildings, averting a major tragedy in the area, reports said.
In the incident, a major portion of the factory was gutted even as its machinery also getting damaged to a large extent, reports said.(GNS)
