Ensure utilization of available funds under SBM-G: Dir Rural Sanitation J&K

Srinagar, Jun 24: (GNS) Director Rural Sanitation Jammu and Kashmir Tariq Hussain Ganai (KAS) on Wednesday convened a meeting here to review the physical and financial progress under Swachh Bharat Mission- Gramin.


A communiqué to GNS reads that, the presiding officer directed all the DPOs to “ensure utilization of all the available funds under the scheme in a time bound manner strictly as per the guidelines of the scheme.”


The presiding officer, as per the communiqué, also desired that all the physical targets under IHHL and CSC components of the scheme with respect to spill over works of last financial year be achieved by or before 31st of July 2020 and those of the current financial year by the ending December 2020.


“While reviewing the achievement under Solid Waste Management, the presiding officer directed all the DPOs to identify suitable locations in each Panchayat so that the work under this important component is taken in hand at an earliest even as the DPOs were directed to submit within a weeks’ time the Audited Utilization Certificates of the funds their districts have received under Performance based Grants and SBM-G”, the communiqué read.


Meanwhile, participants to the meet expressed their satisfaction and extended their vote of thanks to the presiding officer. (GNS)
