Srinagar, December 26:(GNS) Second militant belonging to Al-Badr has been also killed in an overnight encounter in Kanigam Village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A senior Police officer told GNS that second militant has been also killed in the final assault. However identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.
Two army soldier were also injured yesterday as militants tried to break cordon, however forces again engaged them.
Earlier, Reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Police, Army’s 44 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Kanigam.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.(GNS)
