Srinagar, May 2 (GNS): A paramilitary CRPF trooper was injured after militants on Saturday evening lobbed a grenade on government forces deployment in Tahab area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir.
Reports reaching GNS said that the suspected militants hurled a grenade on the joint team of police and CRPF deployed at Tahab Chowk. However, the device missed the intended target and exploded on the roadside.
“The security personnel fired some aerial gunshots,” they said.
PRO CRPF Pankaj Singh said that the trooper namely Constable Sumanpradhan sustained minor splinter injuries and has been given first aid.
A police officer also confirmed the attack and said that a hunt has been launched to nab the attackers. (GNS)
