Srinagar, Mar 17:(GNS) A local contractor has finally squawked after being made to pay bribe by a village-head and her deputy in Kranshivan of Sangrama block in north-Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The Contractor while talking to Global News Service (GNS)said that the Sarpanch alongside her Panch had demanded a bribe in tune of Rs.60000 on or the other pretexts, while he had started to work on the Block level.
“They kept on pressurizing me to pay the amount, to which I paid them”, he said adding that “However the duo kept on blackmailing me and even after the payment, used to deduct a certain percentage from the allocated amount from the concerned office.”
“They kept on harassing me even and I have a recorded audio-clip with me which I have produced before ADC Office Baramulla”, he said.
When contacted ADC Baramulla Yawar Ali told GNS that he hasreceived the complaint in this regard and assured that an action will be takenagainst the persons even as maintaining that a case has been taken already madeinto it at Police Station Tarzoo.
Meanwhile Station House Officer (SHO) at Tarzoo while confirming the development told GNS that an FIR number 18/2021 under sections 161, 420 stands registered in this regard even as further investigations already set in pace. (GNS)
