Kupwara, Jun 13(GNS): Administration in this north Kashmir district on Saturday suspended an Assistant Engineer for giving a miss to an official meeting presided over by District Development Commissioner on June 12.
In an order, a copy of which lies with GNS, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara ordered immediate suspension of Assistant Engineer, Block Development Office Trehgam, for remaining absent in the meeting called “on account of PMAY, delay in MGNERAGA compensation and other parameters”. The meeting was chaired by the District Development Commissioner.
“The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara expressed his displeasure over the absence of the AE and desired disciplinary action as warranted under law,” the order reads.
Subsequently, the ADC placed the AE under suspension. He has been attached him with ACD office Kupwara.
Meanwhile, Abdul Ahad, incumbent AE Block Kralpora, has been asked to overlook after the work of AE Trehgam block during the suspension period incumbent, the order reads.
“Assistant Commissioner Development shall conduct inquiry into the matter and furnish his report within fifteen days,” the order reads further. (GNS)
