Kupwara, May 11 (GNS): Journalist Fraternity Kupwara led by Yahya Sultan Thursday remembered and paid rich tributes to Global News Service (GNS) founder Tanveer-ul-Ahad on his third death anniversary.
In a message, Yahya remembered Tanveer as an energetic journalist from north Kashmir who carved out a niche in the prestigious field within a short span of time.
“Tanveer-ul-Ahad, founder of Kashmir Glory and GNS was a young energetic, brilliant grooming journalist of north Kashmir, who in a short span of time with his courage and hard working established a reliable news gathering agency which continues to disseminate upto the mark information to date”, Yahya said in his message to GNS said.
“May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous” he said adding he was an asset.
“On this third death anniversary I alongside my whole fraternity pray for eternal peace to the departed soul and hope the GNS will prosper as per his dreams”, the message read further.
Meanwhile Associated Press of India (API) also paid rich tributes to Tanveer ul Ahad.
In a statement issued here, the API team termed Tanveer ul Ahad an institution in itself. “Journalist Tanveer ul Ahad was an institution in itself. He has left his legacy and vision for the journalism of Jammu and Kashmir. He always responded to the voice of his conscience”, reads a message on behalf of API received from its Bureau Chief Murtaza Mushtaq.
“Tanveer ul Ahad struggled to resolve the problems faced by the people of Kupwara and other districts alike and the biggest tribute to him will be to carry forward his vision”, the message reads further. (GNS)
