Budgam, Jun 5 (GNS): A 4-year-old girl from Meeripora area of Beerwah in Central Kashmir’s Budgam who was left grievously injured in a canine attack has succumbed here at GB Panth Children Hospital on Saturday afternoon.
Reports reaching GNS said that the victim Mariya Aijaz daughter of Aijaz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Meeripora in Beerwah was attacked and left seriously injured on May 14 at her native village.
The minor was evacuated to Govind Ballabh Pant Institute Sonawar and was under treatment since then. However with no significant improvement in the health conditions, the minor consequently succumbed this afternoon.
The mortal remains of the minor were brought back to her native village for last rites.
Meanwhile a pall of gloom has descended over the native village on the tragic death of the minor. (GNS)
