‘Consent to Be Sought from Parents of Children Before Enrollment’

Kupwara, Jan 12 (GNS): On the directions of Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), various winter tutorial centres are coming up under the supervision of CEO Kupwara to facilitate students amid winter chill.
Abdul Hamid Faani while talking to GNS said that after receiving directions from Director of School Education about starting of winter tutorials in the district, they will be setting up centres for students to facilitate them with their studies across the district.
“The DSEK had earlier on proposed coaching for only 11th and 12th classes, however later on classes 8th, 9th and 10th were also included in the initiative”, he said.
When asked about setup of venues in the district, the top-official said that “Amid harsh winters, it won’t be feasible for us to setup centres at remote places and as such centres would be established at centrally located places to facilitate maximum students and more so to their convenience.”
“Centres would be established at
Handwara, Langate, Mawar, Behnipora, Villgam, Drugmulla, Trehgam, Kalaroos, Kralpora, Sogam, Khumriyal, Main Kupwara, Karnah, Tanghdar and Chamkote areas”, the official said adding that “All in all we would be setting up some forty centres including at High and Higher Secondary schools.”
“The tutorials will be providing quality education and specialized teachers would be roped in for each subject to the satisfaction of students and their parents alike”, the official said.
“The timing would be from 11 in the morning upto 3 in the afternoon and proper heating facilities would be provided to the enrolled students”, the official said.
However the official said that “Consent would be sought from parents on behalf of the students to get them enrolled for the tutorials.”
“The tutorials are most likely to start within next few days and proper regard would be given to SOPs, guidelines amid ongoing COVID19 crisis”, the official further said. (GNS)
