17 Travelers, 2CRPF Men Among 244 Covid-19 Cases In J&K

Srinagar, Jan 2 (GNS): Seventeen travelers and two CRPF personnel were among 244 new covid-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday. They said 107 cases were from Jammu Division and 137 from Kashmir Valley taking the total case tally to 121471.

Giving district wise details, the officials told GNS that Srinagar recorded 46 cases, Baramulla 16, Budgam 5, Kupwara 9, Pulwama 12, Anantnag 17, Bandipora 4, Ganderbal 11, Kulgam 2, Shopian 15, Jammu 78, Udhampur 3, Rajouri 2, Doda 3, Kathua 5, Kishtwar 1, Samba 4, Poonch 5, Ramban 6 and Reasi 0.

One death has been reported, taking the total fatality count to 1885.

A number of these cases were confirmed at SKIMS Soura and GMC Anantnag’s diagnostic labouratory, they said.

The SKIMS cases include include female (60) from Dalipora Nagam, male (45) from Habber Lassipora, female (65) from Khandaypora Khag, female (31) from Lalpora Beerwah, male (45) from Kralpathri, male (50) from Wanibal Nowgam, female (33) from Rawalpora, male (69) from Buchroo Chadoora, male (25) and female (24) from Gopalpora Chadoora Budgam, male (36) from 117 Bn CRPF Wazirbagh Srinagar, male (26) from CCC RTC IV Humhama Budgam, male (51) from Bonzil, female (27) from Manigam, male (70) from Wayil, female (56) from Wandihama Ganderbal, male (44) from Sehpora Ganderbal.

The Baramulla cases include male (40) from Sopore Baramulla, female (60) from Soura, male (14) from Lal Bazar, female (33) and male (32) from Azad Basti Nati, male (48) from Eidgah Srinagar.

The Kupwara cases include male (70) from Handwara Kupwara.

The GMC Anantnag cases include male (20) from Nowgam, female (45) from Nai Basti, female (35) from Brakpora, female (30) from Hirpora.

Moreover, they said, 260 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 123 from Jammu Division and 137 from Kashmir Valley. (GNS)
