482 Covid-19 Cases Take J&K Tally Past 26000-Mark

DAK Prez, Senior Police Officer, 2 Prisoners Among Infected; 544 Patients Discharged

Srinagar, Aug 12 (GNS): President Doctors Association Kashmir, a senior  police officer posted in Kathua and 10 armed forces men besides at least two prisoners were among 482 fresh covid-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir, taking the total tally past 26000-mark.

Official sources told GNS that among the cases, 106 were from Jammu and remaining 376 from Kashmir Valley including DAK president and influenza expert, taking the tally to 26413.  

Giving district-wise breakup of the cases, official sources told GNS Srinagar 88, Baramulla 26, Pulwama 52, Kulgam 17, Shopian 1, Anantnag 53, Budgam 29, Kupwara 42, Bandipora 29, Ganderbal 39, Jammu 42, Rajouri 4, Ramban 5,

Kathua 14, Udhampur 2, Samba 4, Doda 7, Poonch 16, Reasi 7 and Kishtwar           5

In Kashmir, Srinagar tops the list with 6438 cases followed by Baramulla with 2257, Pulwama 1949, Kulgam 1659, Budgam 1638, Shopian 1537, Anantnag 1665, Kupwara 1348, Bandipora 1197and Ganderbal 773.

In Jammu division, Jammu district has 1727 cases, Rajouri 771, Ramban 616, Kathua 626, Udhampur 633, Samba 533, Doda 324, Poonch 305, Reasi 242 and Kishtwar 175.

A number of those testing were confirmed at SKIMS and CD diagnostic laboratories, officials said.

The CD cases include Male 38 from Rainawari, Male 36 from soura, Male 30 from perrbagh, Male 28 from perrbagh, Male 40 from Gulab bagh, Male 3 from Gulab bagh, Male 27 from Magarmal bagh, Male 27 from pandrethan, Female 34 from Umarabad Sec A, Female 23 from Badamwari, Male 23 from P. s Khanyar, Male 21 from P. s Khanyar, Male 70 from Alamgri bazar, Male 40 from Bota kadal, Male 48 from Anantnag, Male 32 from Kadalbal Pampore, Male 28 from Tulbagh pampore, Female 48 from Panthachowk Sgr, Female 25 from Larve kakapora, Male 53 from Khrew, Male 58 from khanyar, Female 55 from Chanpora, Female 33 from Anzimar, Female 50 from Rajbagh, Male 40 from kishtwar, Female 50 from Pulwama, Female 55 from Lalbazar amd Male 75 from Chadoora.

Moreover, 544 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 88 from Jammu Division and 456 from Kashmir Division. (GNS)
