Doda, Jun 30 (GNS): A joint team of police and NDRF personnel on Tuesday retrieved body of a 22-year-old youth, four days after drowning here in Neeru Nallah of the district.
SHO Doda, Munir Ahmad Khan while confirming the retrieval to GNS said that “The operation was jointly carried out by police and NDRF personnel” adding “the team managed to retrieve the body after days of hectic efforts inside the nallah.”
The body of the youth, as per the official, was handed over to family for last rites after conducting medico-legal formalities.
Pertinent to mention here, that the deceased youth Waris Ahmad son of Sajid Ahmad Shiekh drowned while taking bath in Neeru Nallah on Saturday evening. (GNS)
