Srinagar, June 23:(GNS) Exchange of firing took place between militants and security in forests of Lolab area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.
According to the reports reaching GNS, a joint team of Police, Army’s 28RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Lolab forests.
SSP Kupwara ShriRam Ambarkar confirmed to GNS the exchange of fire between the joint team and the militants. However right now there is no exchange of firing as its deep forest. More reinforcements have been rushed to the forest, added SSP.
