SDM Lolab issues fresh Lockdown guidelines

Kupwara, Jun 9: (GNS) Lolab administration on Tuesday notified fresh Lockdown guidelines to residents of the jurisdiction, deemed to be applicable from June 8 onwards, an official notification said.

In an official notification of which a copy lies with GNS, SDM Lolab Aijaz Ahmad said that the fresh guidelines are in pursuance with the already notified guidelines by District administration.

“In pursuance to the order issued by Deputy commissioner Kupwara vide order no: DCWPS/2020/04/ 124 1-47 Date 07.06.2020, envisaging therein the regulation bf opening of shops in the jurisdiction of Sub-Division Lolab for ensuring the observance of SOPS in view of COVID-19 Pandemic, the notification reads.

In view of prevailing conditions, as per the notification, following conditions will remain enforce from June 8 onwards:

  1. There shall be complete restriction on movement of individuals from 8:00 Pm to 5:00 AM except for medical exigencies, throughout Sub-Division Lolab.
  2. There shall be complete restrictions on movement of public transport including Sumos & Xylos within the Sub-Division Lolab except SRTC buses and mini buses on routes to be notified by the competent Authority.
  3. There shall be complete restrictions on social and religious gatherings in the Sub-Division Lolab
  4. The opening of shops in the jurisdiction of Sub-Division Lolab shall be governed as per the schedule given: On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; Shops/Markets will remain open in Cherkoot, Putshahi, Krusan, Lalpora, Maidanpora, Tekipora, Sogam; from 9 a.m to 7 p.m, while on Thursday, Friday, Saturday in areas viz. Dooniwari, Wavoora, Darpora, Diver, Gundmacher, Chandigam, Gangbugh and Cheepora, from 9 a.m to 7 p.m.

The shops/markets will remain closed for Sundays’ except for medical shops from 9 a.m to 7 p.m, the notification further reads.
