701 new covid-19 cases in J&K, total 33776

84 Travelers, 8 Pregnant Women, 19 CRPF Men Among Infected, 389 Patients Discharged

Srinagar, Aug 25 (GNS): Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday reported 701 covid-19 cases, 84 of them travelers and eight pregnant woman and 19 CRPF personnel.

With these cases—139 from Jammu Division and 562 from Kashmir Valley—the total tally has risen to 33776 in J&K.

Official sources told GNS said that Srinagar reported 208 cases, Baramulla 29, Pulwama          56, Budgam 49,

Anantnag 44, Kulgam 18, Shopian 6, Kupwara 55, Bandipora 66, Ganderbal 31, Jammu 76, Rajouri 9,

Kathua 11, Udhampur 6, Ramban 6, Samba 13, Doda 3, Poonch 12, Reasi    2 and Kishtwar     1.

A number of cases were confirmed at CD and SKIMS diagnostic laboratories.

The Jammu cases include male (39) from Police Component Paloura Jammu.

Sources said 389 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals, 79 from Jammu Division and 310 from Kashmir.  (GNS)
