5 Minors, 2 Pregnant Women Among 85 Fresh Covid-19 Cases In J&K

Srinagar, Mar 2 (GNS): Twenty-nine travellers, five minors and 2 pregnant women were among 85 fresh novel coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Tuesday. There was no death due to the virus during the time, they said.

Regarding the fresh cases, the officials told GNS that 12 were from Jammu Division and bulk, 73 from Kashmir Valley, taking the number of cases to 126589.

Giving district-wise details, they said that Srinagar reported 48 cases, Baramulla 5, Budgam 7, Pulwama 6, Kupwara 0, Anantnag 4, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 0, Kulgam 3, Shopian 0, Jammu 10, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 0, Samba 1, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

A number of the cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories of SKIMS Soura, CD hospital and GMC Anantnag.

The SKIMS cases include female (58) from Daharmunna, female (40) from Soibugh, male (40) from Bun Makhama, female (30) from Mirpora Beerwah Budgam, female (14) and two males (10, 45) from Nishat, female (33) and male (36) from SKIMS, male (65) from Soura Srinagar, female (30) from Pinglena Pulwama, male (49) from Gagren Shopian, male (35) from Turigam Kulgam, male (52) from S K Colony Anantnag and male (65) from Kangan Ganderbal.

The CD cases include female (13) and male (11) from Buchpora Srg, male (61) from Qamarwari Srg, female (75) from Batmaloo Srg, male (70) from Pampore Pulwama, female (50) from Sanatnagar Srg, female (60) from Dalgate Srg, male (60) from Sarai Bala, male (20) from Bemina, female (36) from Chanapora, two males (38, 03) and two females (08, 39) from Batmaloo, female (42) and male (42) from Eidgah, male (NA) from Srinagar, male (NA) from Magam, female (75) from Srinagar, male (45) from Naseembagh, male (52) from Humhama, female (60) from Dalgate, male (42) from Koolipora, female (NA) from Nowgam.The GMC Anantnag cases include female (16) from Ashthal.

Moreover, they said, 94 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—25 from Jammu Division and 69 from Kashmir.

Out of total 126589 cases, they said, 820 are active cases— 185 in Jammu division and 635 in the Valley. 123811 people have recovered while 1958 have died—725 in Jammu and 1233 in Kashmir. (GNS)
