Doda, Apr 16 (GNS): In a tragic accident, a 25-year-old youth was electrocuted to death in Thatri area of Doda district, Thursday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Kumar Bikey son of Prithvi Raj, a resident of Galli Thatri.
A police officer told GNS that the incident occurred when Rajesh was repairing some (heating) electrical appliance.
“Soon after receiving shock, the family called the police and Rajesh was rushed to nearby Community Health Centre Thatri. However he was declared brought dead on arrival,” the officer said.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police, Bhadarwah Raj Singh Gouria told GNS that the body has been handed over to family for last rites after due completion of medico-legal formalities. (GNS)
